Washed her nicely in preparation for Cars and Coffee in the morning. Things car guys do for car meets, like wash their car at night lol. From what I can tell I did a good job I didn't see any spots that I missed using a flashlight.
I do the same every day. I had to order new hardware for the Cobra brakes to install them hopefully this weekend but I don't think I will have time to do so.
I bought the CX racing hard pipe kit I assume it's the same as the DM kit it was a bit weird but start with one piece at a time and you will figure it out. i started with the most obvious piece the one that goes to the throttle body and the weird curvy pipe is the one that connects to it and...
I think you can buy just the calipers from rockauto for about $160ish each but you do need the brackets too. I was surprised it came out to this much as well but with brakes it's best not to cheap out.
I believe you do need at least 17" wheels I have 17" RPF1s luckily lol. I spent about $360ish on the calipers with brackets and stock rotors, $110 for the brake line kit and $170 for the bracket kit from Driftmotion, and about $80 each for these rotors on Rockauto, and about $90 on the EBC...
Today I repainted and rebuilt my Cobra brake calipers. Aircraft remover is some crazy stuff you need to use dish washing type gloves you can't just use the nitrile gloves you normally use when working on cars it will eat through that and start stinging your skin. I regret putting the clear coat...
I figured it out kind of I adjusted the pedal height and the actual free play but turning the cable for the master cylinder that is the part I did not do. I didn't know you had to play with both of those even though it's in the TSRM but I overlooked that part. Ignore my post lol it was a brain...
Yea that is the nut I adjusted but it just affected the free play before the engagement. I'll try again maybe I am just retarded or not adjusting it enough or most likely both lol. Thanks.
Finally got my poopra back the front main, oil pump drive, and cam seals were replaced along with the timing belt now no more oil leak the crank has been worn down a little bit from the crank pulley wobbling slightly also wore down the woodruff key but that was replaced too it should be fine...
Installing Cobra brakes. I am going to be installing Cobra brakes on my MK3 soon and just wanted to double check, I am going to buy the cobra brake lines and the caliper bracket set from Driftmotion. I was wondering if there is anything I should know when doing this install as far as I know it's...
The guys got the crank bolt without damaging the crank WOOOO so excited to get my car back, going to give them the rest of the seals and belts that I forgot to give them, so they can put her back together tomorrow and pick her up.
