I know when I took out my Denso platinum spark plugs, and installed NGK's, the car developed a miss like you are describing, but not quite as bad I don't think...Anyway, I switched back to the old Denso plugs, and it ran perfect again. That was over a year ago, and I still have the same plugs...

Mine were re-upholstered about 5 years ago. Vinyl, and they still look great. I can attest to GrimJack's statement...today's vinyl is outstanding, and it ages quite gracefully. :)
