Check your engine error codes and get back to us. The engine doesn't have to be running to do this...just turn the key to the "on" position.

When oil is missing from the engine (it can't get "stuck" anywhere) and there aren't any obvious oil leaks, that usually means that it is being burned in the combustion chamber...which could be caused by bad valve stem seals (common 1J problem), or bad piston rings...among other things...

Try looking at thrift stores for those roll up egg carton foam mattress pad thingys. Other than that...there isn't really much you can do besides just putting blankets all over the walls lol.
The wax you are applying really should protect the paint, and prevent "etching" from happening... I would try a better quality wax..."Nufinish" isn't gonna cut it. Meguiar's tech wax would be a good choice, and Zaino would be even better.
