    rod knock?

    That doesn't sound like rod knock to me...unless every single rod bearing is bad...but usually it is just one it seems. I would check the crank pulley and make sure it isn't loose, check all the obvious things like the fan etc, it could even be clutch related or bad bearings in the water pump...

    Sounds nice...but I don't really think I could use that car as my DD, I would ALWAYS be worrying about it wherever I go. Kinda like that commercial where the guy has a VW Beetle stuck to his head, and it keeps getting bigger throughout the day...expect for me it would be a white Supra... LOL...

    There could be a loose connector going to the stereo...I would pull out the stereo (easy) and inspect the wiring behind it.

    Just went out and checked, and the tires I bought for the front of my Supra say 2005, when I bought them last year. -_- Rears say 2007. On my Mercedes, the fronts say 2007, but the rears say 2000 O_O, and they are showing signs of cracking, but still have plenty of tread left...interesting...

    Yes, I'm still dealing with this problem... (I don't drive the Supra much at all, and I'm pretty busy). Anyway, I replaced the EGR valve with a good used one. While I had the EGR valve off, I looked into the passages, etc, and it didn't really look all that dirty...maybe a little bit of carbon...
