E30 Touring?
Pick up a minter for £1500, stick on H/R Cupkit suspension and a set of R888 Road legal slicks and go hunting for some barrys. I mean, who's going to suspect an estate car?
Here's mine
Not bad for £140 delivered huh? :)
Here's an easy one for you - Did in the incorrect Torque settings on the head bolts affect just Turbos, or was the fault apparent on both Turbos and Non Turbos?
I'm 99.9% sure that it affects all 7M'd cars, but I've had some conflicting infomation from a few guys here across the pond and like...
Come on! The main worry you should have for a car like this is what B-Roads you're going to take it out on first not how you're going to get in and out of the Maccy D's drivethru ;).
Oh come on! Driving an auto isn't exactly a challenge!
Sorarers are possible to come across with a manual box, but be prepared to pay a premium and/or do a bit of hunting, but I'd say a soarer was a bit too much like a mkiii...
Sorry, did you just refer to a GTR Skyline as a sleeper? A hot pink Humvee would have slightly more sheath appeal :D. Be prepared to get pointless questions from every adolescent boy that you will ever come across including me and of course for the classic 'Is that a GEE TEE ARR?' from Barry in...
Suggestions that have just came to mind
BMW 8 Series
350Z
TVR Cerbera (if you fit :D)
I know that you're a VAG fan - MK4 R32? S4? MK2 Golf with a VR6 Swap (I might be getting a little carried away)
For the sleeper look - Have you considered a E34 M5? Or for the ultimate sleeper, a Legnum...
Somebody didn't read the original poster's location ;). Vettes start at about £5000 ($10000) for a C4 and £10,000 for a C5, plus they're LHD which as the OP has already stated is going to be a royal pain in the arse in a RHD country.
As for the "handle like nothing eles you will ever drive"...
I believe you're thinking of the wrong one.
Not sure if you got these over there:
4WD, 280+ brake and a lot of the trick technology from an EVO. Add in the Sleeper status and I think you're on to a bit of a winner
Kai, what exactly is this next car going to be for? If you've...
I had my first supra at 15, Albeit, it was not much more than a project car (which never got finished, although I did learn to drive in it (on private land of course ;)) and it didn't screw me up too much. I'm now looking for another one as a daily at 17 years old, insurance is cheap enough if...
Just the mirror the thoughts of the previous posters, from what I can understand there isn't any particular benefits to running a 1.5jz setup unless you already have a spent a chuck on headwork for the 1j and then had the bottom end eat itself.
It seems the swap is done out of convenience...
Not feeling the car myself. You can tell by those awful visual mods (in my opinion of course) and dirty engine bay just what the previous owner(s) were like.
My attraction to a Jap import would be the change to get a clean unmolested base to build the sort of car YOU want, by the sound of it...
Being against it on the grounds of safety is fair enough, but it would seem that most here here are complaining because it looks weird? Come on people, it's a standard car with the roof missing, it's not that radical.
I don't see the major problem with it aside from the car that it will flex like a complete whore, but then again, who's to say this car is going to be driven in anger?
Do a proper cover for the rear seats, a drop with some nice wheels and maybe a 89+ (I'm usually love the pre 89 look, but it...
I've noticed that quite a few former Supra drivers have found themselves now in the drivers seat of a AW11 MR2. Seeing as my hunt for another MK3, isn't going too well, I'm consider going for this as it's awfully local, and cheap :)...
