'nother 7M -- picked up a shortblock with only about 70k on it a few weeks ago for free. Besides...I don't like the sound of the 1J's let alone not understanding the hype about 'em....and a 2J is just too damn expensive to throw in...LOL!
Yeah, I actually thought about trying to push it all the way from Vegas to here....stopping every half-hour to pour oil back in it...LOL! Luckily, my Grandma and Uncle talked me out of that nonsense....would've sucked to have that motor blow a hole in the side of the block in the middle of...
....Without my Supra -- It only made it as far as Vegas. Cliffs version: something let go somewhere at the front of the motor (gasket, seal...something), started pissing oil...limped it to Vegas from Baker, and by the time I got it to Vegas, it had the dreaded Rod Knock....I think the only...
It just so happens that I checked the Torque specs on both of my new wrenches when I bought them a few months ago -- Craftsman Digi-Torque and a cheapie li'l Harbor Freight one....both were within a lb. of indicated setting on our torque standard....I was esp. surprised that the Harbor Freight...

I bought said knock-offs.....the fiberglass ones. They even came from overseas (paid a grip in shipping because of that...*grumble*) Fitment was garbage, too wide at the mount points -- we're talking a good 1/8-1/4" gap when one side is screwed to the headlight assembly. I'm sure someone with...
Don't have 4 jackstands, but I got'er dun. Pump method wasn't so much a bitch as it was messy....cheap li'l Harbor Freight pump that started leaking....I think the diff fluid is the easiest thing to change on this car...lol.
Yeah...found that out yesterday.....changed my fluid and used the pump method under the car....didn't want to pull the console and shifter again since I recently did it already....next time I'm going that route!!
Thanks DT. :biglaugh: I've gotten many compliments on the goatee before whenever I get the chance to grow it out....it'll be making a comeback hopefully within the next couple weeks....heheh. I just wish the Navy would allow beards and such like they did back in the day... :3d_frown:
