Yes they are altering the same signal but the gen1 maft has very little tuning ability. It's main purpose is to use the GM MAF and do away with the KV AFM. That is why he is using the NEO for tuning.

It do measure up :) Nice clean easy install. The two side holes, not sure the technical term, are a little smaller that the Toyota bolt but I don't think that should cause any problems.
