Okay, that brings me back to my original question:
So with all that said; Help me plan my wiring.
• leave stock circuitry
• run 12 volt full time, upgraded wiring
• run upgraded wiring with hi/lo switching still in place. resistor size?
I prefer to use the mkiv for...
Ok, looking at the Weldon Dial-A-Flow instructions, the hi speed switch is a pos enabled, so I changed my diagram:

I also see where I was unnecessarily complicating the wiring.
edit: I'm thinking activate HI with a...
I thought I had read that with modifications the TCCS calibration of switch will be out of sync of where it needs to be.
Now if this is wrong, I would like correct information.
Thanks shaeff, that’s a good link. I have nixed BAP from my consideration.
I am interested in the PWM and with 100% activation on as set boost level. But the stuff figgie said about “FIRE” and “parallel mosfets” tells me I’m probably not going to be...
SWEET!!! Thanks figgie!!
Will the PWM handle the full amp draw of a mkiv pump?
I've got so much to learn about this. Hope you don't mind some dumb questions.
something like this?
Just spoke with Kenne Bell. Boost-A-Pump is not a suitable solution, by itself, for lo/hi speed. It's lowest regulated output voltage is 13.5v. So it is equivalent to full time 12v rewire.
I'd like to see if it could trigger off a boost sensor. I have one on my zeitronix.
jdub - I don't really want to side track this thread but I have a question about that guys AEM wiring. Why is he using the output from the BAP to feed a SSR? From the BAP information, it seems the BAP should power the fuel pump.
jtran8 - no heating of fuel, decreased gas mileage, increased...
It seems the KB89069 is activated by an included pressure. Wouldn't that eliminate needing the TCCS to do the switching?
Kenne Bell 40 AMP Boost-A-Pump (Supercharged)
$250.00
Model: KB89069
• Activation vacuum or pressure switch included in kit.
Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump 20 amp...
jdub - That 14000 looks interesting. I'd be interested if you can make it work using the TCCS. I'm afraid it may be beyond me.
My third diagram is the one that shows connecting +B and FP and having the relay in the rear. I drew some boundaries to try to show where I have the components...
Where is all the input from the folks that say "if you upgrade the pump you must run 12v" and the people that say "changing the stock circuitry is not needed"?
Looking for input. I don't want to do this wrong.
I don't have the answer for you. I tried to get some discussion on this - Fuel pump upgrade & wiring - but has not gone anywhere.
I do have three different wiring options diagrammed. Maybe one could help you.
