HAH fixed it. Its weird but obviously you cant run a 90 altenator on a 87 it blows the fuse when you hook up the battery. So i did some trouble shooting and hooked up the other altenator after i resoldered the capacitor thing back on. Put a new 100 amp fuse in and it fixed it lol so i dont know

i had same prob a week ago turned out the potentiometer was shot in mine aswell as the spring it wouldnt spring back on its own
