Oh yeah I see in that photo the N/A AFM looks different. Eh, no reason for me to mess with it, unless signifigant HP gains are to be had by switching to something else?
I was looking at the AFM. Looks more like a mouse trap than an air flow sensor with that goofy trap door thing.
I am busy cleaning up the engine and striping it down to the minimum it needs to run well. One throttle cable will remain!
Dist bearing? I will be sure to replace that as I go over...

Damn I just put $20USD into my tank and got just shy of 6 gallons. Thats $1.20 per liter unless I screwed up the math. I will stop complaining about gas prices now. ( well no, actually I won't, but I will try and keep perspective )
Ok, we are all Supra fans here. Toyota enthusiasts. We are all fans of I-6 motors right? I am, just so you know I am not trying to start anything.
However, why the heck did Toyota not put service door for the fuel pump? Maybe I am a dolt and could not see the obvious way to get the fuel pump...
Forge motorsport is another. I have no experince with Forge anything but have read good things about them.

Like the other guys mentioned, many BOVs can be fitted for recirc. If you are not sure if you want to...
My friend has a RFL on his Starion. At 30psi it was louder than his open wastegate! Not a bad noise, sounds good, just LOUD
Personally I like the plain air woosh noise. My brother has a HKS SSQ and I hate it. The chirping whistle everywhere you go every shift ( he has a small turbo, always...
You know the battery is fully charged? Have you tried a battery out of a working car?
My car would not start even if I jumped it the other day, but when I dropped in a known good battery ( out of a running car ) the motor turned over right away.
Just a thought. I like to eliminate as many...
Thanks guys! Man I oughta just start my own build thread. Not a Supra but you guys seem interested enough.
Right now the old 2M engine this car has is a bit over 100hp. The 7M will have plenty of power! I am going to love spanking Hondas with a 34 year old Toyota! Next time you see pics of...
Haha actualy this is the engine I want! Its the Supra that is going to the junker now.
I bought the Supra as a donor car for this bad boy:
I am going to start a build thread soon for all this stuff.
Well that wasn't so bad! Had the motor on the ground by 12pm. Here are a few photos just for fun:
Thats me in the coveralls and my brother was nice enough to get out of bed at 11am to lend a hand
The only thing ES100s are good for:
Ok guys thanks for the help. I do actually feel silly that I didn't think of this right away. I just got a couple of long bolts that fit the holes where the hanger whent and bolted the chain straight too the head.
Ok thanks guys. I don't feel so stupid now.
Do you think it will be ok if I wrap the chain around the #6 exhaust runner? If that sounds shady to you guys I am going to go to the j-yard and do it right.
Thanks for helping the newb
Is my engine missing a hanger? ! ?!
There is that bracket that holds a heater hose on top of the head but it looks tiny compared to the front engine hanger, so I really don't think its it. I am searching through picture archives right now but it takes forever. If I have to go to the...
Oh I see! I read the the manual that you find online and it says attach chains to engine hangers, which I mistook to be the same as motor mounts. I am glad I asked! Justin727 those photos where perfect, I will know what to look for now.
Hahah "mean green influencer" I always referred to those...
Tomorrow I will be pulling the 7M out if every goes well. When I stopped work on it yesterday all I had to do was attach chains to the lift, but the lift didn't come with chains like I thought it did! Going to have to head to the hardware store.
The manual just says to attach chains to the...
Don't know if there are two. The fuel pump has a filter/sock on it, and then there will be the normal fuel filter probably in the engine bay someplace ( no idea where on a Supra, haven't looked for it yet )
So, if your filter is clean, pump is new, have you actually tested for power at the...
