Did you replace the 7MGE vaccum diagram and smog sticker under the hood with the 7MGTE equivelant.
Went to the toyota dealer to get one for my 87 7MGTE swap to put it under the hood for smog and they said it was discontinued in 03.
Where can I find one?????????
I am curious. This was on my old 7MGE engine (197,000 miles and not very will maintained), but want to know what would cause these results, since some of the same smog components (charcoal canister, cat) are still on my Supra.
15mph test
HC(PPM) Allowed: 124
HC(PPM) Tested: 234 :eek...
Oh, god lets not get into the heat vs. velocity debate again.
Yeah, I know driving without insurance is dumb, but I only drove it around the block and home. Still risky, but I will have it insured by this weekend.
I am just trying to get a feeling for if my Supra is at least in the normal...
I am new to the whole turbo world. "virgin booster".
Just got done with the 7MGTE swap in my 87 NA. Everything appears to be working normally.
Boost gauge reads about 17 vac at idle. Seems normal. I have read that if you rev the engine in neutral it will not make boost, why not...
Did you measure your clearances? Is there assembly lube in there?
Obviously something is binding and not allowing you to turn the crank. I had mine torqued down properly and no problem spinning the crank.
I think something is wrong. Measure your clearances with the plastigauge thingy...
On my 87 N/A it was underneath the intake manifold right about in the middle.
Your 90 might have two, but it was my understanding that only the turbo's had to KS's.
^He was on drugs so probably not.
I wonder what thought crossed his mind...Hmmm, I think today I'll get high and cut off my schlong (or whatever they call it in Germany).
I think he had problems already, the drugs just amplified it.
