Thats the problem with new sports cars. The more electrical they are " even if it makes them go faster" the more boring they become. The supra's we know are more mechanical then electrical, and that gen of cars and engines is long gone :(
MK3's dont give you anything for free, If you want something you have to sacrifice another thing. I sacrificed a lot of things just to make the car look as much stock as possible.
Thats not true, They brought back the FJ Cruiser which is a car that most people didnt know about.
And if they did bring back the supra people will buy it only if the price was reasonable.
Im leaning towards SPEC sense there are parts available, but what do you guys recommend for a 1JZ that outputs 400-500 HP and 450 TQ, is a one plate enough to handle that sort of power?
THANK GOD i read this thread i was going to remove the glass from the hatch and replace it with a light plastic. but it makes sense to leave it as it is.
But what about the door windows, are they worth removing and changing them to light plastic?
Thats true, the cold weather does improve the cars performance. In the winter my car is like a hyperactive dog thats on crack, i can feel that its just waiting for me to step on the gas .
I have two guys that wants to race me soo bad, One also has a MK3, and the other has a 240ZX with a 2jzgte...
I know that i will get used to it just like i got used to a 2jzge then a 1jzgte then a 1jzgte with twin hks turbos with bla bla bla.
but im still scratching my head about the extra RPM and boost.
Hey guys. My MK3 was sitting in the garage for three months because of the hot weather, and finally the weather started to cool down, so i jacked the car, took out the AC compressor, fitted the audi belt, replaced the old turbo manifold clips with new ones, tightened them up, flushed the old...
Dont bother your self with a R32, There are plenty of them where i come from, my friend had one of them way back i took it for a drive and it just didnt feel that exciting, its shit on the inside and outside, and the Rb is a lame engine. the fastest R32 in the area has a 2JZ in it, the rest that...
Keep in mind that your not just going to change the engine, your going to change the trans, piping, fuel pump, wiring, gauges, and much much more, not mentioning the little stuff that pop out of nowhere.
I just got me a set of 680cc Siemens injectors for my 1jz from Driftmotion but they didnt come with the clips, i send them an E-mail but they didnt reply yet.
For the time being is there a clip that will fit the injectors. the coil clips look almost the same, will they fit?
Never get a turbo mk3 for a first car. buy a 86 or 87 Cressida to sharpen your mechanical skills, when you think your ready swap a turbo engine into it and practice driving it, after that buy a clean mk3 shell and put the engine in it, its not like mk3 are hard to find.
Thats true. My fathers 2006 ford windstar brakes more then my supra, but with a turbo supra you just want to go faster and faster. And faster = more money to spend.
It all depends on the 2jz that you want, there are four types of 2jz engines:
1. 2jzge
2. 2jzgte
3. 2jzge vvti
4. 2jzgte vvti
If you want a reliable supra take the 2jzge or the 2jzge vvti.
If you want a fast, money eating supra take the turbo 2jz.
The 2jzge vvti is a good engine it can be...
If you want to talk about rare, then i have it. Its a MEDM "middle east domestic market" 92 mk3. Its probably the lightest of all mk3's. it has no abs, no electric seats, no..... it just a plain supra
