I bought a new OEM toyota oil pump for my rebuild, and i am wondering if i still should shim the oil pump for the xtra pressure, or is that mod for only ""old and tired pumps""?

Doo It. tint windows, swap in turbo motor (2jz maybe:sarcasm: ), set of shoes on it, good wash and wax job, and make a sleeper, that can hall you and 3 other buddies in.

yep, on 2000 grand prix gt. ran conv. oil for 60k or so switched to synthetic and bam oil leak. I guess what happens synthetic "cleans" or removes the "gunk" causing leaks where the conv. had build up and pluged the leak. So there never really is a leak, untell the gunk isnt there any more...

Ebay dp Is the best best bang for the buck if looking for a ""bolt on"" upgrade! Its what i will be using if bolts up to T-78 or T-88 with 3" clamp. I know in the past someone dyno'ed stock vs 3" pipe DP and found like 23 hp at the wheels.
