I've got the Fel-Pro version of the HG, ARP bolts torqued to ~85 lbs - been working great for ~21.5 k miles (13 months), at 15 psi. From the pics I've seen, the Fel-Pro gasket appears identical to the Toyota gasket. Anyone know for sure?
I didn't need to drain my w58 when I swapped out the speedo drive gear....but the one for the 4.1/3.9 gearset did not mate up with the gear in the transmission. The autos may be different from the manuals, though.:dunno:
since the others seem to have already been answered....
iirc, that is one of the temp sensor connectors
heater hose, to core in pass. compartment
just a connector hose, connects the two bits of the water external water jacket together (the metal pipes it connects to)
HTH :bigthumb...
What I really want to do is paint the car to match the upper nose - the JDM Forest Green Metallic. But yeah, whichever color I end up using the lip will be painted to match.
Someday :wtc:
np :bigthumb: . Hope you're as happy with it as I've been. I just wish I could have it closer to the...
yer lucky - I just took a few new ones the other day ;) They're kinda biggish, the angles are not great (I took them to match previous pics, to compare the difference in height after I swapped the coilovers for TTR suspension), and one came out sorta blurry, but here ya go:
When I...
don't know if anyone will be able to answer this or not, but here goes:
I've got my old 4.3 diff laying around, I've been thinking of putting it back in while I replace the shaft seals in my Torsen, but it makes an odd noise. When the output shafts are turned in opposing directions, there is...
I had the same problem yesterday after changing spark plugs. Turns out I was stupid, and crossed the #1 and #2 plug wires when I reinstalled them. Since you've checked the wires, though, I'm guessing you verified they run from the coil packs to the plugs in the correct order?:dunno:
this is true, even with the MK4 rears installed, and crappy old-ass fronts (that came on the car when I bought it), I still managed to lock the front up once in a hard stop in traffic, but not the rears.
it appears that his website has been restructured slightly - the address is now http://www.4cefed.com/mkivbrakes.html
there were also some offset plugs made once upon a time (no longer available when I checked), that went in the holes of the MK4 calipers. These allowed the use of the MK3...
that he has no ABS? :dunno:
Hey Jeff, you wouldn't happen to know the p/n for the 2.5tt R rear sway bar bushings, would you? The Toyota parts guy here says that there's a split in the p/n's in mid-90 or so, says the later one is the one I need. Just wanted to check with you, 'cause I trust...
umm...no. The chassis code is stamped into the firewall, and coded into the VIN. It is Toyota's code denoting what engine the car shipped with from the factory. To my knowledge, the majority of JZA70 body parts, and a lot of the mechanical stuff, will work on the MA70 (except for those specific...
any of you guys got a pic of this sensor(s) that's different? I'm having the same starting problem, but when I installed my JDM engine, I bought a brand-new engine harness, and all sensors plugged right in. CPT Furious, if this fixed your problem, I'll have to look into it as well, but I want to...
Another vote for the BIC ddp here :bigthumb: , I love mine, had it for a little over a year now, and other than I need better high temp paint (it's all gone, now), no problems at all. The noise is a non-issue, if you keep your wastegate closed ;) . That's one thing I love about my Profec A -...
