I just dont think of D1 as real drifting and I dont think real drifting will ever reach the states.. we will end up making it another shitty car sport like nascar. Hell you cant even really watch WRC in most places here and thats alot more popoular than drifting
there was def. a time when drifting was not just smoking the tires goin around the track... there was a time when people actually still raced while drifting. now its one car at a time unless they are doing a dual drift.... wich i havent seen done very well in along time by the "pros" of the U.S...
True to that... i started out with my 82 MK2 in open parking lots then "graduated" to my 88 na when i got it... then i went on to a 88 turbo.. starting out smal and slow. help you get to know the car and basic manuevers
