Yep, I have a turbo timer...and I usually don't boost unless I have some heat in the motor! Whats a good oil pressure? Don't they say its around 10psi per 1k rpm?

Hmmm, i'll have to decelerate next time the car works...Lol I always figured it was bad for the turbo!

What other syptoms is it having when it doesn't start? Do you have power everywhere else? Does it try to turn the motor over?

After just replacing my turbo, 60-1 now, I'm really worried about taking good care of it! Wan't it to last, damn things are too expensive!! But, I noticed that when my last turbo was going out, it would smoke really bad on deceleration. Bad thrust bearing and/or seals right? So, is it bad...

keep an eye on oil and coolant levels and also keep and eye on the temp. Besides that, it should be fine until you can get around to replacing it.

wow. These things could all be from one thing or not related at all. The overheating/overflowing could be due to something as simple as a faulty radiator cap. The smoking could be turbo seals, or bad blow by. Bad idle could be anything from improper electrical connections, faulty...

2300 to fix a HG...ouch To me it sounds like your bottom end is pretty solid. If your short on cash, then just replace/deck the head now. Then down the road, you can build up the bottom.
