every time i see one of these fuckin threads i get discouraged. lol you should pull it apart and see what rod was knocking and why. that shit is tedious no matter what engine its on. mistakes can be made. :( sorry to hear about it though man.
being that i am FROM the subaru scene...i can say this with utter honestly...if you want anything more than 330whp out of a subaru you are smoking meth. SERIOUSLY unless you literally have 50K in your bank account you wont make that car anywhere NEAR the potential a supra could make.

i wonder, i know normal gte pistons are interchangeable. i guess you can only take the words "standard size" with a grain of salt lol. well i don't mind boring out either. we will see :) depends on how much my machine shop will run me when i do all this stuff.
believe you me, i know how you feel hahaha. i was thinking about getting some probe forged turbo pistons and a MHG mainly because i have no effing idea what my power goals are. im going to try and stick to the 250 to 300 whp range just so i can keep my turbo ecu i don't wanna do anything outside...
good idea! i will do that. what about the crank? is it common to have things done to that? mine's never given me problems it's smooth as hell but it's just a thought.
im getting all nostalgic with this build. makes me miss building subaru motors...slightly...heheh. once im done with the surpa i might drop in an EJ25 down the road on my DD subie. we will see..its that or froster time. looks good man! you did a fantastic job. :)
koni are still and illumina are going to be pretty stiff too bilsteins are adjustable but don't count me on this i hear that they are the OEM so they will be comfy
there's no logical reason why he can't just rebuild the 7m? as long as you do it right the first time and know what you're doin you should keep the headaches to a minimum or no head aches at all!
the 7m is a super solid engine too.
as of next weekend the surpa goes under the knife. there are A LOT of things i need to do in prep. for this craziness and i've been searching around for over a year now on what i can and what i shouldn't do with this car.
obviously im going to start at the engine part of this mess im going...
