Street racing while drunk on wet streets is usually a good recipe for disaster.
Life in prison for this? What the hell? I think the punishment fits the crime quite well. 8 months of your life behind bars is no picnic, nor is losing your license for a few years.

I like the Supra for what it is, and when I do upgrades it is with my interests in mind. I'm shooting for a very streetable 400 horsepower with 300 of it available from 3500 RPMs to redline.

The smartest thing I ever did was put my Supra plans on hold until I was more financially secure. Having a home and a 2-car garage with the Supra on one side (or or jack stands...) and a reliable daily driver on the other is the best thing ever.

50 years later the Chebbie V8's are still kicking ass and taking names. I am a car enthusiast which means I can respect cars of all makes, and that includes the SBC. There's a reason it's still being used in street and race cars alike.
Try autolite copper plugs. I had a high end misfire which appears now to have been spark plug blowout. It was the best $7 I ever spent, and they are so cheap and easy to replace that I won't mind doing it every 10K miles if I have to.
I had a leak into my cooling system that only was apparent once I took my undercover off and saw that there was a tiny crack in the lower radiator hose. $20 later it was fixed and my cooling system is doing great, no more gurgles, no more air in the system.
Of course, my car is 6 years newer...
