When you put the Lex AFM on there without 550cc injectors you are running 25% less fuel than you should be. You are totally screwing with the stock computer and running lean. Don't do it! There's no gains to be made without adding the proper amount of fuel. You WILL blow your engine up...
Use a blowtorch to heat the bolt, spray it down real good with PB Blaster and let it sit for a couple hours. Smack at the wrench or ratchet with a brass hammer to break it loose.
Nothing wrong with using an R154, you might as well do it only once if you ever plan on running more power.
You will need the turbo flywheel and pressure plate for the R154. The non-turbo flywheel has completely different rivets.
My 92 turbo started out life as an automatic. I managed to kill 2 autos, the first was the stocker with 96K miles on it. The second was out of a non-turbo (got it for free, thanks again Carl!) and it lasted less than 4K miles. I was running around 275RWHP, so figure about 330 at the crank.
I...
The first part of your sentence is the most important. I just saw an R32 a couple weekends ago that was licensed and passed the safety inspection here in North Carolina.
I'd much rather put that money into engine work, but that's just me. Driving on the wrong side of the car doesn't seem like something I'd pay money to do intentionally.
I've been pretty judicious with my Supra cash. I have larger priorities (house, decent daily driver, a life) and the Supra is maybe #7 on the list of things I will spend lots of money on.
I was smart and bought a well-maintained 92 turbo. The biggest money I've put into it was a paint job...
I am very interested in this kit, but won't be able to afford it until the winter sometime. I plan on putting a 57-trim CT26 and this kit on and I'm hoping for 325 at the wheels on pump gas and maybe 14 psi. Anyways, be the first, if it's not what you're looking for you can probably resell it.
*sigh*
Say you drive 10,000 miles a year, and you get an average of 20 MPG, you use 500 gallons of gas a year. I would estimate that premium is generally $.25 more than regular fuel, so it costs you a whopping $125 a year to run premium fuel. "But wait, Nocheez! I'm a poor douchebag who can't...
I've always wanted to do thinks like Bishop, we now have very similar 92's: teal, turbo, 5-speed, with mk4 wheels.
I don't even know if he's still in the Supra game or not, but he was definitely my inspiration.
Everyone should try to get out and experience this show at least once. It's a ton of fun if you're a true car enthusiast. There's so many different cars here, and you might even get to judge for another group.
