Pulled all the washers from the wastgate still nothing. Im about to throw in the towel on this car. Any other suggestions? Im going to double check the timing when I get home.
Ok, not too much of an update today. I checked the BPV and its good. I couldnt blow through it at all. Got the knock sensors out of my other block but didnt get around to installing them. Ive checked ever intercooler pipe and all seem to be in good shape. All the clamps are tight. This car is...
Thanks for all the prompt replies guys. Im going to swap the KS hoping I can rid of the 52 code. De-shim the wastegate then check the BPV. Hopefully by tommorow Ill have a good idea of whats going on hopefully.
Well, the 34 code just came about after I put washers behing the wastegate about an hour ago. ON the BPV you wouldnt happen to have a pic of the location would you? Ive taken the 3000pipe off numerous times and cant recall anything hose connecting to it.
The valve on top of the Tstat housing? Its storming now so Ill have to check it tommorow.
Also I rewired the knock sensor and its still throwing the 52 code. Guess tommorrow Ill swap out the knock sensors with some spare ones I have. Also getting a code 34 (turbo charger pressure abnormal.)...
Sure do.. Whens the next time your going to gadsden? You go right by my house off of 59n Springville exit. Im going to put it on my lift this weekend and swap out all the intercooler pipes with some extras I have laying aroung. Hopefully that will be my problem.
Yeah it will hold steady at at 5psi. I checked the timing again and it was at 11* Nope it was a turbo car.
Where abouts do you live? Maybe I can try to meet you somewhere so you can see what its doing and see what you think.
Ok, a little up date. Got rid of all the codes except the 52 code. I know why its throwing the code though. Its the way its wired I bet.
Swaped out the igniter and got rid of that code, the maf code disapeared, and I found a valve looking thing under the intake just behind the alternator...
Ok, a little background first. I bought the car a couple weeks ago with a BHG. I got it, fixed it with a new felpro HG, ARP bolts and a complete top end gasket kit. Put the crank pulley on 0 aligned both cam sprockets with the marks and ajusted the CPS to set the timing at 11*. Everything...
Your plug goes under the tb on the intake. If you pull the TB and look under where the TB goes youll see it.
stupid question but Is the battery dead? You getting power to the starter? Check the ALT fuse under the hood.
Another thing that has nothing to do with your problem but what did...
Cool! On my parts car I acquired with my other surpa I found one of these mounted behind the front grille. I havent taken it out yet to see the brand. The display is mounted above the steering wheel. Maybe its a good one like yours!
I too have had this issue and it ended up being the IAC valve getting stuck. Got some spray stuff from my uncle (toyota mechanic) sprayed all inside the TB and all seems fine now.
