    Standalone on 7mgte

I had a college Professor that said all EMS's worked on the "PFM Principle" and one always had to be careful to not let the magic smoke out of the box!:naughty:

    Standalone on 7mgte

Agreed, 500 whp, 600 whp, 700 whp you get the picture! Seriously, having run an AEM for going on 3 years now I like the personally like unit. Is it the best unit on the market, no, but my cars daily driveability is very near stock like condition. AEM is sighted for the plug and play being...

500 rwhp on stock headgasket and bolts.

Yeah, that's the way Willie's 91 is. Just when things really start to happen you find the ceiling.

Me personally I switched to an AEM. There got to be to many limitations with the stock ecu and big turbochargers. I was leaving alot of power on the table with my 67 because I couldn't rev over 6700 rpm. The stock ecu is a great platform to modify from, but running 6 to 8 psi like it is set up...

I shoot for around 11.7 and we run 93 octane for pump gas. Running this boost level we usually add alittle 110 with it.

Base timing is stock 10 degrees. Pump gas is around 18 or 19 psi, and the this car has a single Walbro and 680's. Internals are stock with 102,000 miles on them. One I built using 3 inch pipe and some HKS muffler and of course the standard issue convertor simulator.

No, they just put a headgasket on and checked for any warpage according to Willie. Willie bought the car with 42,000 miles on it, so he owned it when the work was done. I like the wheels also, they are just heavy. Car rides very smooth though, even with no sidewall on the tire.

Had there been a 1jz swapped in I would have had to caught wind of it, just because I would have been the fool doing the swapping. We talked about putting a 2jz in the car but he has gone and bought aftermarket rods and pistons to install once I figure out how to get 28 hours out of a 24 hour...

500 rwhp on stock headgasket and bolts.

I was driving it three times a week, but I only live 8 miles from work. Willie drives it a couple times a week as he works out of town and then he and I live 100 miles apart. Sean

Here is a video, shot Saturday of Willie's 91 MKIII. This car has been on this setup for over 3 years now. The headgasket was replaced by Toyota at 46,000 under warranty and I checked the head bolts 3 years ago and they are torqued to 75 ft/lbs. The engine now has 102,000 miles on it and had...

3000 GT ignitor wiring for a standalone

These are the reasons I thanked you for clarifying and I am glad you mentioned the dwell control. I would hate to have people do this and start burning stuff up. I have left my dwell settings the same as what the dwell tables are set for an MKIV and have had no problems, but this is not to say...

3000 GT ignitor wiring for a standalone

Thanks for the more precise definition, I was trying to oversimply too much. Here was what I sent to Matt for his 90 Supra, as mine is an 88. Originally Posted by X-man On the sequential injection hook up you are looking for plug C (the only 12 pin plug on the AEM). The numbers you want...

3000 GT ignitor wiring for a standalone

The stock ignitor receives a signal for the location of number 1 cylinder then it takes care of when the rest of the firing order occurs, if I did my homework correctly. One of the problems seems to be if for any reason there is any interference via electrical noise or signal strength this can...

3000 GT ignitor wiring for a standalone

You can use any 3 or up channel ignitor. The Stealth, Diamonte, and the 3000 GT all had this ignitor if it came with the DOHC engine. You will need the connectors from a doner car. If you use an ignitor with more channels you will just have to use correct input and output wires ie 300 ZX twin...

Fuel. Dual Walbro or Aeromotive a1000 external?

I run my A1000 off a relay relocated to the back of the car with the battery box to keep the 12 gauge secondary wires to the pump as short as possible. I have run without a controller or ballast resistor for 4 years without any problem.

    Not just a dyno queen!

ACT is a good plate. It was just rated alittle less than what I was looking for. How is your car running?

I have a HPF bronze disc and an RPS PP. I will have the 2 step/antilag taken care of this weekend. We were building 21 psi in the pit area. Sean
