I have used Ross in the past (2001) on one of my 7m builds. Dont know if was the pistons, rings, or the install, But i had a slight tick at first start up. Other then that, they were great, held up to boost i was running at the time, (15-17 psi). How ever this time around i am going with JE...

keep stock motor, Replace HG with a metal, run only 10-12 lbs of boost and check your oil, then just keep the 7m stock:) If you start to bore and that kind of stuff one might as well go with forged internals and that kind of stuff.

Remove it, place one end in a vise and use a vise grips on the other end and twist back and forth and pull, untell the black rubber stuff brakes away. Then just clean up the the shortened shaft with sand paper( to remove the small amount of black rubber stuff still on it) Thats how i did it...

ya it is, the block is still at the the shop getting built, All forged internals,:) when the lower end is done the head goes in.
