most powdercoating places sandblast as part of the work, they prep and coat......mainly so they don't get some dope that dosn't know the difference between 220 grit and cheese cloth
either way powdercoating is cheap for the protection and beauty it provides

thats fine i would have probably ended up using the shifter to get it exact.........not to mention another two fingers could really play hell on that 2nd-3rd shift for you.....haha
thanks for all the info fellas after i get mine done i might make a few spacers for the MD pepl. but like i said...
i was under the impresion that anodizing was for aluminum and other soft alloys, but i really don't know for certain
anyone know for sure.....anyone know prices or where this could be done. it is true though anyone into paintballing knows how cool and colorful and rugid anodizing is
john
off topic?.....yes BUT
i would like to clairify that i like the pre-89 front and rear, but a pre front and post rear is cool too, but not A-spec
post 89 tails are only cool if they are JDM or tinted!!
john
P.S. joe...... i apologize.......THAT YOU LIKE THE SUX!!!!......hehehe j/k
i've never bought a 89+ to drive but if i ever cross that line you can bet your a$$ i'll swap the bumper and the tails for pre 89.......cuz post 89 IS THE SUX!! :aigo:
john
i also have an MDC O2 sensor.....easy to use and i'm pretty sure i paid 30 bux....i was in a tiny GB though....i think

powder coating it an awesome thing to do, beats the hell out of high temp painting[spray cans] anyday!!
hard as a rock very easy to clean and the best thing is you can get just about any color. also pretty cheap especially if you know sumone ;)
john
i know all that, but is there anyway you can give me an up and down measure like the distance from R145 tranny hat to the bottom of the B&M shifter
......in other words how 'tall' my spacer needs to be, it's not the full size that i have is it?! that seams way too high.[note i do not have...
alright siman and/or mkiiiowner i have a hat now and i need either sepcs on size or a detailed picture....i'd prefur both if i could get them :D
my dad has a metal lathe and metal working tools so i could mill the bottom down to the right spec i just need to know how much to take off.
john
i was with all of this till the w48.....why do i have to use a w48 tranny hat.....and more over what did that tranny come in?
i have an extra w58 tranny. how exactly does the hat come off??
yeah jake i wanna do this right away but right now i'm holding back for a DDP and test pipe!!!
john
band m??
you use a spacer you make and also mod the tranny and the spacer that comes with the B&M shifter
also i was asking if i can get the hat off my extra tranny to use as the spacer without removing it
john
i'm so glad that this post has come to a positive answer, since it started before the hack and was never finished....
anyway... could i 'gank' the hat from a tranny that is still installed in a car[my parts car]??? i've got a dremel and extensive hours using it! wait to do this!!!
john
sounds like a hott ticket man! so then you don't need to fab a spacer at all just redrill the blue one??? if so that is awesome i'll buy the next ebay IS300 shifter i find!
john
P.S. are you saying this spacer pictured is not neccesary?
mkiii owner is there any chance i can get an adapter peice from you??? or 'blue prints'???
or siman, if you have the know how to duplicate the spacer that you recieved????
can either of you help out?!?!
john
