Before you put it back to gether make shure you scrape the old gasket off 100%, other wise it will leak agian. Use a razor blade by itself or even a headgasket removal tool works great. The hardest spots are around the studs.

leak down test will tell you if your valve seals are shot.

I dont know for shure, but I would certainly guess if both are extreamly blown or if 1 is and the other is missing it should work. Just wiegh the factory hood and wiegh the CF hood, subtract the differnece. If the CF isnt too light wieght the you might be able to use just 1 brand new 1 all on...

Leaking valve seals will not damage the engine. It'll just burn a little oil, top it up when needed until your ready for a MHG. Why do a job twice, if you dont have too? Mine leak im not worried. I will replace mine with the head on, because I dont have to replace my HG as it was done awhile back.
