Thanks, I wonder if anyone on here has gotten on a dyno and was right under their boost cut.
I'm guessing not because what's the point of wasting good dyno time if you going to hit boost cut... lol
Yeah, I lost my motivation to buy the slotted rotors. I just went w/ a fresh set of OEM rotors, Stoptech pads, and Goodridge brakelines. Eventually I might get a big brake kit when I get around to it.
I searched and looked through some of the Forum topics, and I've never heard it mentioned.
I was just wondering roughly how much people hitting boost cut on the 1JZ are potentially making at the wheels... If I had to a guess it would be around 280whp?
Anyway, this is just something I've...
Is this on your car yet? I'd like to hear your impressions of it, and see if they've made any changes.
I'm think about buying one from Zankoku, but I'm not sure this the route I want to go.
I'm still in "limbo" so to speak, but I've been grounded from playing cowboy since fall. Now that I have all this time on my hands and a internet connection I'm getting ready for "project save a ho" and studying up on bodywork.
Sometime this Spring I'll have a built 7M (the '89) and then...
I just came to your thread to razz you about your car then saw your last post.
My condolences on your old man.
You need to get this car running though by Spring, so you can post some more poorly shot youtube videos :P
Also, you buy from Suprasport? I thought they were almost in the same...
With some many lighter/faster cars out there can a built N/A 7M or a 1UZ really compete on the track? Someone could probably do better with a lightened 240 w/ a KA motor...
Btw, wouldn't someone save a few pounds with the aluminum block of a 1UZ over having a 7M?
+1 Yeah, you should ditch that stock elbow and Megan DP, maybe resell them on here. If you're just looking for something to hold you over until you upgrade to one of the DM kits you should go w/ the DM downpipe/elbow that Aaron sells for $200. I think you'd be happy with it until you have more...
+1
I have the same 24x9x3 intercooler w/ 2.5inch pipes and couplers that I purchased from DM (this was before DM sold the kit). Big Aaron only sells quality parts the install wasn't that bad.
I liked progressive when I had them. I had a certain amount of extra insurance for mods, but then I switch over to USAA back in 2008. They also did a good job w/ my
claim back in 2008 when that retard backed into my freshly painted car w/ a crane...
Maybe I'll go back to progressive idk.
Phew, at least I know I'm not the only one... lol I haven't had PS on my 1JZ since late 2007, but I guess I must have retard strength or something, because I was driving that hooker in D.C traffic and my parking spot was tiny.. Funny thing is the main part I just can't is the sound of the pump...
+1 If you plan on use the CT26 I wouldn't go w/ the 60-1. The 57trim is supposed to be the happy medium between having decent potential and realibilty. If you go on the DM website or vendor forum they say the same thing. I don't think you'd make 400 very easily w/ a 57trim though...
If you...
1999 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0 4spd auto... Car sucked and it was plagued w/ problems the whole time I had which wasn't very long
If I hadn't have pissed off my ol' man maybe I would've got his '89 Supra Black on Tan n/a auto hardtop. I'm not sure whatever happened this car, but it's the car...
Holy crap, that sucks. Hopefully you can still pull the motor and into another MA70 chasis. You have the option for them to total out your car and then you can buy it back right? Ol' boy's insurance company better be compensating you for your medical problems too.
I'm just glad the guy...
Hmm, I've been searching various threads on impressions of the various rotors ie; Brembo, Powerslot, Rotora. I have yet to see anyone say anything really negative about Powerslot rotors so far.
Prehaps what is meant is the rotors on MVP are some sort of cheap knock offs made in a third world...
