    NEED HELP!Headlight problems.

I's odd how Toyota used 2 differing systems, the dimmer relay system is the superior of the 2 as current routes are shorter and switching is done remotely. Guess it could have been a costing thing to make up for other systems added instead - remove the dimmer relay and wiring - add a cup...

    changing dash needle color.....

Lol - yep used SMT LEDs to retrofit inside clocks - very fiddly and prob not for everyone...... & I'm just plain crazy period :) The black part of the needles can be cut off carefully - it has 2 melted over tabs on the rear of the needle keeping it attached. You have to cut these off to pull...

    NEED HELP!Headlight problems.

Can you confirm if your high beam dash light works OK with the H4 lamps fitted & not with the HIDs & you don't have a "dimmer" relay in the engine bay fuse box? It could be the same problem I had with my JDM car when I fitted HIDs to that - the headlight circuit works slightly differently to...

    interior lights don't go on

Both the clock and the interior lights share the same main power supply, the 20A "DOME" fuse in the engine bay fuse box - I would check that first, often a fuse can look OK but still be bad as the wires inside can fracture - just swap it out if unsure.

    Comprehensive Lighting Modification Thread

Hope you don't mind me inputting here, I modded my needles a few years back to change the colour - it's not an easy task by any means and it's kinda fiddly to say the very least! I had to make up some tiny LED lights formed around a fibre washer, I used SMD LED chips - about the size of a...

    Green Boxes on 1jz ecu

Hey The green boxes are Metalised polyester capacitors - these should not need replacing IMHO as they do not turn leaky like the electrolytics do. The long black box is an IC of some sort, specific to the ECU I'd imagine - just ignore that. As above, just replace the electrolytics and...

    Stuck/Sticking Blinker

Hi, I assume it comes on and does not "flash" Do you have an alarm system that flashes the blinkers? It is possible a relay in that is sticking closed - it's a fairly common problem I have found on cars.
