so i finally got around to installing my maft pro on my 91 supra turbo auto
im using tuner pro 4.14 and tpro520.xdf
car is set up in speed density with gm 3 bar map
all settings are set using this guide: http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=2017
AFR source is set to 3 for aem...
^^AGREED
why pay 1500 for a engine you know nothing abou which will more then likely last only a yr or so
when you can spend 1500 on a engine and rebuild(guessing very little machining is needed) and know that it should last you years to come
haha thanks
a little update for tuning today
drove to work 40 miles
AFR was around 14.3-14.7
i actually found using the keypad on the maft is so much easier then holding the laptop while trying to drive lol
oh and zach dont be jealous cause my car is white and you do steriods lol
little update for the work performed over the weekend
installed my 3in downpipe, aem wideband and finished installing maft pro
yes thats right im now running speed density:)
the exhaust i have going like this:
3in dp, stock cat then straight 3in exhaust with no muffler or resonator
before with...
my attempt today at tuning with maft pro was a big fail...face palm lol
however the car is running...a little rich...13.1 at idle with VF signal showing 1.0
so as of now i can actually rev and drive the car
more headache and tuning ahead lol
still trying to figure out the whole VE table...
Or you could go with a hx35 turbo
Used on cummins engines
I am looking for 500 HP as well
From what others have told me is that this turbo should be capable
Sometimes you can find them cheap for like $100-200
Only downside would be is your new downpipe wouldn't work on the hx35
lol didnt mean to sound snappy
hell i told you the same thing about your cps zach
so whose fault was it zach when your cps was in time, then removed and supra ran like dog piss? lol
so shove it lol j/p
depending on which meter you have...so many different meters out there...from voltage meters to multimeter
either 1 will work
what you want to look for on the switch for settings is VDC...this stands for Voltage Direct Current(this is what you want)
most will have different ranges from...
lol just wanted to be a smart ass lol
oh and make sure the ignition is turned the on position when testing..always remove ground cable from battery when removing or installing ecu connectors
once you have confirmed you have the correct ground and voltage
then i would suspect your cps is...
thanks
As for an update i recieved my used 3in downpipe in the mail today
Will be installing this weekend and finish up my maft pro wiring to go speed density
So far only problem im having is since im only using maft pro as a boost controller and using the TPS voltage for boost controll setup...
