so funny story today...
i decided i want to put my white package wheels back on the supra
so i removed the 18's(which tires are to big anyways)
drive 40 miles to work...and my speedo is bonkered now
at 60mph i felt a little slow...then i felt really slow when granny passed me in a station...
instead of acting like your better then everybody else and know everything
why not share your knowledge to help others out with why running 10w30-40 oils are good or bad
makes forums go a little better and maybe itll be turned into a sticky for others to read and no reason for threads...
I ended up blowing my headgasket a few days after postings this lol

why do the oil lights come on at different mileages when using different brands of oil?
same filters used and same 80 mile trips to work 5 days a week on each vehicle?
Castrol gtx 10w30
Used in my 01 silverado. Change oil light came on at 4500 miles
Tried valvoline 10w30 on next change and change oil came on at 3000
Test number 2

Tried valvoline again and Changed out at 3000...
just as everybody else has stated full rebuild on the engine you already have would be the cheapest
most jdm engines i seen installed are rebuilt or replaced within a yr or 2
spend 1300 on a used 7mgte now...if your lucky drive for a yr or 2 then rebuild it later
or just rebuild the 1...
i wouldnt run my car with tape covering a hole
under heat the glue breaks down to almost a liquid form
very possible you could find the tape has came off and your turbo has tape caught in compressor wheel lol(more then likely damaging wheel)
with the hole being open your car is now using...
a good way to check for clogged cat is to drill and tap 3/8 npt thread into exhaust
find correct fittings and mock up a pressure gauge(0-100psi) will do
start car and let idle...normally on modern cars if pressure is higher then 5-10psi then you have a blockage issue in your exhaust
also...
removed my turbo timer, boost controller and boost gauge from my st165 to install into my 91 mk3
everything is installed except timer
st165 uses a tt-1 hks harness which my supra does not use this
tried searching but i come up with a tt-3 harness which does not have nearly enough pins to...

Trans, bumpers, Fenders and doors are on hold
Motor is being kept due to something Greek knows something about

petty much whoever makes it down and take em off 1st is the new owner lol
