So the other day my radiator light came on,car got a little hot that day. Light still is on but car doesnt over heat. Car runs good to 3k then sputters to 4k, then runs good again.
How can you tell if your hydro fan control unit "ecu" is bad. i drove to work today, drive is about 5 minutes at the most, but fan did not turn on. had the plug that goes to it, pulged into the wrong one.
The first pic there are two sets of wires that look like that with the brown wire broken. the last two are of the same wire on the w clip whic i think are the knock sensor one pin out.
Have rewired the front knock sensor and still the same thing reving to 3k and falling off and back to reving...
So here is where i at first time i checked codes i had a 12 and 14, put in new crank and cam sensors.
clear the codes, then the car goes back into limb mode, check codes and get a 24 and 41, found the short and fixed it. go to drive the car it does ok but goes back into limb mode check codes and...
Well was wondering if anybody knew how long the 1j harness is at its longest point.
Started looking at mine and its pretty bad and im sick of fixing it. So I'm going to make a brand new harness from scratch.
I need help replaced my cps new timing belt, new fuel pump.
Car will start idle fine but will rev to about three grand and cut out and idle after you take your foot off the gas.
Anybody else have this problem any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where is the Knock sensor on the 1jz. Anothe question is do the 1j and 2js share the same cps, and i havent checked the wiring yet. should have put this in the first post when it cuts out it also leans out.
Understand that but what i dont get is my car started acting up when i had the mines plugged in. Not trying to say that thats not the proplem i just think its kinda of weird that both ecu's show the same codes that's all.
So my car will start and idle fine but once i step on the gas and it hits 2500 rpm it cuts out and dies sometimes. I have two codes a 12 and 14 on both my ecu the stock one and my mines. Any help would be greatly apreicated.
I was wondering when you wire in the 7m injector resistor for the mk4 550s on a 1jz the other wires off the injector clips.The ones that wire into the bigger black and orange wire on the resistor do they go any where else or just straight to the resistor.
