Replace with a new one. Long needle nose pliers, possibly a razor blade (in case of the hose breking and needs to be cut off the fitting), monkey hands, and a sore back= done.

Does he pester you about it when you aren't on the clock? If so, swift kick in the nuts solves the problem. To top it off, smash his hover craft and he'll hate you forever ;).
Only the older style SSQV's have an adjustable nut on the back. I have a newer one (a genuine one, the model right before the visual makeover) that doesn't have the nut. The new ones may have the nut again, but I doubt it...
