    The path to 500rwhp???

What's your opinion on the twin setup though Jeff? Any suggestions there, I'd love to run twins. If I'd go single I thing I'd choose a dual ball bearring GT3040R with 0.82 A/R. It's not that expensive (about $1300), it's good for 550hp and it spools up quite fast so I've heard.

    The path to 500rwhp???

Well spotted GrimJack I'd love to have that test drive with Jeff anytime but I'm a bit far...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Hey Jeff it's Yannis, you may remember me. We've pm'ed each other in the past. I thought your name sounded greek but your wife is greek actually... Any bells??? Anyway you're spot on on the power issues there ( you ought to be since you fix and drive the damn things!!!). From what karaki...

    The path to 500rwhp???

GrimJack I'll just make things more clear of what I want. After talking with other mkii over400hp owners I think that a 350hp(400hp tops) setup will be more suitable for what I want. I'd like to keep the option of been able to run 500hp at will, not constant and especially not at twisty...

    The path to 500rwhp???

So you reckon the GT35R is quite responsive? Is it the one going for about $1300-1500? They say this is dual ball bearing.

    The path to 500rwhp???

Ok so since I can't really read a turbo map or understand a lot from a dyno graph, you do suggest that either of these turbos would perform closely to what I wish? Do you happen to know their spool up times and when they reach peak performance? And aren't these a bit on the expensive side. I...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Hmm...you sound a bit disappointed man, is your project still in progress or you've finished it yet? Well my intentions are far from drag racing. I want a set up that would suit the car in twisty roads and bends. Something that wouldn't lag on the apex of a bend or burst high pressure for...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Yea that short of makes sense. But isn't the "less lag theory" coming in to effect on this one too? I mean they should spool faster than what a single that would drop pressure, right?

    The path to 500rwhp???

    There's a few pictures. #2 is definately my favourite one  http://www.supramania.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1126&stc=1 http://www.supramania.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1127&stc=1 http://www.supramania.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1128&stc=1...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Yea I was aware of that one. Its articles and related threads like that I've been reading that provided me all the info for the list I wrote on my original post. Nothing about a twin turbo setup though...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Unforunatelly 7mpower has been hi-jacked the last couple of days so it's off access. So wouldn't in theory a smaller turbo that would produce about 250-280hp spool up faster than a bigger one that'll produce 500hp? And if that is correct , multiplied by two would result in the twin setup of my...

    The path to 500rwhp???

Come on folks, anyone at all??? Doesn't anybody have an opinion on this one? I really need the elders/more knowledgable to chime in here

    The path to 500rwhp???

I would like to have some experts suggestions/guidlines on this one. My goal is the 500rwhp benchmark for my 7mgte'd mkii. The purpose of the car (at least for now) is street use and hardly any kind of racing. So the most important think to me is a balance between driveability and reliability...

    Tuning the MAFT - Grimm

That's good news. Would i need the asfc for that you reckon or does the maft itself gives you that kind of tunability?

    Tuning the MAFT - Grimm

This is very valuable information indeed, thanks a lot guys. I'm seriously considering going the maft way instead of a lex afm. My main concern is fuel cut. I was thinking of a standalone so as to be able to tune/set the fuel cut by will, not eliminate it. That would take a lot of money saving...
