^^ agreed, they look good for a while..
I got one in maroon with the supra I bought. Its faded and looks yellowish now. Oh, and the foam sheds like crap.. leaves crumbs on the dashboard
The one that came with the car when i opened up the glove compartment to get to the ECU was a junkyard unit from an 87 M/T.. it was marked as a A/T computer (dumbasses). Im not sure if the A/T and M/T computers are the same though..
As of now, im trying to see if its the ECU thats not giving...
As the title states, I am in need of an ECU for an 88 7MGTE A/T. My car cranks, but isn't getting spark. I just want to borrow an ECU to see if that is the problem.

any rubbing issues with the 18"s? i had a set on 245/50/18, and they rubbed the plastic underfender apron.. so i sold em. im lookin at this other set of 18"s now, maybe i was just running the wrong tire before...
man, i just got power restored today.. without power for 4 days = FTL! The wind blew over my in-ground bball goal.. glad it blew the opposite way from my supra. Overall damage to my house wasnt too bad, but others in my neighborhood got hammered..
it could be oil dripping from the valve covers to the exhaust manifold, where it seeps through and "burns" in your exhaust. i have the same thing, start it up and smoke comes out, but goes away with no loss of power,etc... changing the valve cover gaskets is next on my to-do list :)
15, bought it for $300 cause the owner thought it had bhg cause it kept overheating... all it needed was a thermostat fix cause he put 2 gaskets on it (didnt remove the old one...), and put a whole buncha red silicone sealant all over the place (valve covers, thermostat housing, intake, wherever...
haha we're pretty similar.. except i went 105 in my 88 n/a manual. All I have on it are an exhaust and K&N filter. Didnt wanna go any further cause I have bad tie rod ends (dangerous.. im bout to fix em) and not too experienced.. maybe next time :biglaugh:
anyone know of any other junkyards similar to pick a part, here in houston?
ive already been to both the pick a parts, just wondering if there were similar places where you pull the part yourself, etc...
