Yeah and spend a thousand bucks on something you can do your self.
My opinion is if you can't figure out the wiring then you shouldn't be doing the swap.
Op, this is what I had to do
When I had to connect something that didn't match. I used the different wiring diagrams to figure out what...
Oh cool friends from FB, glad to see you here. My first car was a 68 valiant with the 225 slant six three on the tree. Always wanted to put a 2j in it . So I saw this on Facebook and immediately starter following. So rad!!!!
It really is up to you, If you are intimidated by wiring I would try to say with every thing from the same car. If you are ok with wiring it if only a handful of wires to reso
Yeah you are going to have repin/replace plugs . You are working with a a70 motor an x90 harness and an XX truck. It is a safe bet that nothing is going to match up. You are going to have to rely on function rather then color or plug to determine what wires to what.
Honestly I would just go to...
Ok so I am a bit confused .
So you are putting a full 1jz motorset into a XX toyota truck. Correct?
If that is the case you will have to make the aforementioned ECU to mainfuse box connections.
Extend alternator wires
Make connections between the truck body harness and the ecu to run...
Your best bet is to source the x90 ecu pin outs and the pin out for the truck. Figure out what wires correspond to each other and make the connections. Colors most likely wont match so you will have to work with the inputs as long as the truck auto tranny gives the chaser Ecu the proper inputs...
I have a friend that has started making harnesses . He has made Mine, one for the Chariot of the Damned, and a few adrift cars in the Seattle Portland area. He is on tour till the 1st but I think he would do your for a few hundred bucks. I will grab his email.
Yup , that's it. Thanks for taking the picture. I see that Driftmotion sells a clutch alignment tool like for every other set up. Has anyone ever tried to do this like you would on a w58? Other then the shift fork why does the TSRM suggest that you do it this way?
Well, I am running an ecu from a 96 so right there it is three years newer then any A70. I have heard that the autos sometimes have trouble because they are searching for gear input, but I have ran mine for three years and never found this to be true. I don't here about the caps bein a problem...
Yeah, there are four plugs this is what I used from my MA to Jzx90 swap
The two circled plugs are the ones that are part of the engine harness. The other two you won't get. As you can see they are not all that nessacary unless you are going do a illy functioning car. I kept te2 and E1 on a...
So all you are gonna have to do it make those connections I listed. Are you running an auto Trans or just an auto ecu. If just an ecu then ground the NSW. And your golden
The X90 harness is not all that difficult , you will need to make a some connections . The x90 harness only comes with two of the four plugs. You can get the plugs from drift motion for 9 bucks each. You will have to run five wires from the fuse box area to the ecu. B+, B1, Mrel, Batt, and...

Not to terrible. Consider the X90 most likely is an Auto. The supra didnt give up to much of a lead and appeared to keep the distance the same for the duration of the run.
