That is probably the easiest solution. Not a bad method by any means, especially if you get a real one(avoid ebay sh*t). If your blowing that much oil out maybe you have too much in the motor?
Jack the car up and with a bright light look from the bottom up. Your missing something, also use your fingers to feel around the manifold flange, I'm betting your missing one or two of the bolts that is between the runners.
I'm not trying to highjack this thread or anything, you mentioned those connectors are on the intake side? What is that deal in the pic that looks like an oil dipstick? My 86.5 is on the exhaust side.
I just realized, you said you have auto, it must the transfluid dip stick :)
I had a weapon-r dragon intake many years ago on my Grand AM. Back then I paid 165 and even then realized weapon-r isn't a bad brand, they aren't great either. From a cost standpoint they are way over priced. They claim dyno gains, yet I have never seen a true dyno sheet from them. Not saying...
Turbo's.....reliability....heat....maintaince.....debatable and I don't want to highjack anyones topic :) Make sure your sons take lot's of pics, have A LOT of zip lock bags handy and just have a good time. I just put my 86.5 N/A back together(took it apart at the end of February). Paid 500...
Sweet, thanks everyone, put the rear pads back together in the mean time without the wishbone springs. This is my temp brake fix(autozone, new pads/rotors/brake bleed). I'd like to pick up the Powerslot rotors and different pads in another 6months to 1 year. I'm trying to get her back on the...
I am going to have to fined out now where you mention it 87 Supra. I'll be damned to pay high price for an OE part. I'd like to find something aftermarket to aid in drifting if possible.
Hello,
so let me try to be as descriptive as possible for this, I did a search and came up empty handed so far. There are wishbone looking springs inside the rear brake calipers. They are there for one reason or another, well one broke on me last night while removing the old pads. They...
450 plus shipping for a header is a good price. If you want quality you have to pay for it. I paid about that much for header for 02 eclipse, it was a four banger.
Unfortunately my setup is not installed yet :( It's all sitting in my spare bedroom closet still in original boxes. My car needs too many other upgrades/repairs before I install this setup.
JL 500.1
JL 300.2

JL 10W6 sub

Dunno if this helps, I got my supra for $500 with BHG and needing a serious tune up/restoration. The car had a bad fuse that I had to diagnose and repair(it just wouldn't start and prior owner had no clue why). I got it runing and limped it to my garage. For the last 6 months I rebuilt the...
Hello,
I installed a Grant Wheel with Grant hub adapter and wheel adapter. Install was fairly smooth, I even modified the horn following some instructions I found on SM last week. Horn doesn't seem to want to cooperate, and I figured that was no big deal...my turn signals however, I could...
You want to get as much out as possible. Stick a papertowel or terry cloth towel in it and with a large flat tip screwdriver (GENTLY) Dab at the oil and let the towel obsorb it. You could also get carb cleaner/brake cleaner or even an air compressor to force the oil out. Personally, would go...
Have you checked all the exhaust connections from your manifold back? A friend of mine lost a bolt once in his Evo VIII, for the down pipe. His car would get you higher than astronout feces.
