Check battery, wiring and alternator. I would guess alternator cause it would run off the battery until the battery finally goes dead then when you jump it, it will run until you remove jumper power since the alternator isn't putting out any power and the battery is dead car won"t run. That...
Great work I am looking forward to seeing the outcome, it's good to know there are more people in maine/new hampshire area with as much love for these cars as I have, keep up the good work, and keep us updated.
You said you had this problem with your old motor? try this http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?76403-Car-not-starting-randomly-READ-THIS-(30-Amp-Starter-Relay-Mod)&highlight=random+start not sure if it's your problem but if your car did this before then I bet this will do the trick...
Do you mean the 2 "groups" of wires under the intake? and the other ground on the passenger side shouldn't make it not run but its not a bad idea to hook it up, it's there for a reason but mine wasn't hooked up for a while untill I noticed it.
I see, I thought you just changed the engine not both, so there is no reason the starter shouldn't be lined up if it was all working before, like MOY said check the intake manifold ground wires
I know of atleast one sensor that has a different plug on it, the cold start time switch on the thermostat housing. There are probly more but that is the only one off the top of my head, I did a 87 motor into a 90 with a 90 ecu and harness I just had to change a few sensors but I cant remember...

Cool, thanks for the quick reply, I thought that was the case but I wasn't sure and I didn't want to break it or somthing because they didn't seem to want to some off, I guess I will see if the stock ones will come off and maybe fit on there, thanks again, Todd
Hi I just have a quick question about these injectors. Why are they different?
I picked them up off a guy for $50 with the whole fuel rail and wiring harness all intact, but when I pulled them out of the rail i noticed that the tops were different than the stock ones on 4 of them...
Is the check engine light on when the car is yanking/pulling? if so that would be fuel cut, if you are at .8 bar then you are right at the limit, turn down the boost
I can't imagine it will be all that hard, I picked up this kit a while back but havn't got a chance to put it in yet. I was planning on having to make my own since my kit didn't come with any type of brackets, every kit I have seen on here has had some flat ones but not mine. Oh well, hopefully...
