I was just wondering if you need the torque plate for doing the line bore as I would imagine any of the flexing of the block would screw that up too. I don't know if it is needed but I plan on having my spare block machined soon for rebuild and nobody in this state has a torque plate for the 7m...

I have read it, I only say this because it fixed my problem when my car wouldn't start and if the OP's battery is charged and all the connections are good that would be what I would do.

Check your battery connections and grounds.

You have to remove the tank. Did you check your intercooler piping, I am not sure if it would idle but it's worth checking.

Did you try bypassing the neutral safety switch. Are both wires hooked up to the starter, I only see the power wire from the battery in the pic. there is also a brown? single wire plug the hooks up to it. The only other thing I could think of is doing the starter relay...

Is the battery fully charged? Are you using the JDM ECU? Is it for a automatic transmission, if so I believe you have to bypass the neutral safety switch in the ECU if your car is a 5spd. If you are using the stock ECU check the neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal.

Iirc the left ground wire bolts to the block and the only wires that bolt onto the intake manifold are from the wiring harness, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think thats how it goes.
