Factory turbos have a cat built into the DP and a cat after the DP. Sorry if i assumed. Depending on aftermarket parts/performance parts you may not have the first cat.
It smells bad no doubt. Gut 1 of the cats. It will probably still pass emissions that way (at least here). You should have at least 1 catalyst.
I just kept ramming a prybar down the cat until all the guys fell out. Wear a mask!! The dust from those things is bad news.
Glad you got your car back. I wouldn't recommend pulling your efi fuse all the time. Your car would be in a constant state of learning and would never run right.
Its a blown head gasket for sure. You have to do it all over again. Compression from the cylinder(s) is blasting into the cooling system and blowing the coolant out. No point to run it anymore it will overheat probably every time you do.
