How to hook up an aftermarket AFPR and get rid off as many oem parts as possible?

dbsupra90 I've only got the 255 walbro pump, isn't -10AN a bit overkill for my setup? I do like the dual feed idea though, could do it with the -8AN line splitted to two -6AN lines and keep the stock feed line -which is bigger than the stock return line- for return. Does the dual feed setup...

How to hook up an aftermarket AFPR and get rid off as many oem parts as possible?

I'm afraid I'll have to do that and even more anyway. I'll be running 680cc injectors so after having a chat with a friend from the u.k. last night (group a) I found out that I better upgrade my fuel lines. So I'm going for -8AN supply line and -6AN return.

How to hook up an aftermarket AFPR and get rid off as many oem parts as possible?

dbsupra90 thanks a lot. That clarifies things a lot. Althought could I not get rid off 23849A alltogether and run a straight hose there?

How to hook up an aftermarket AFPR and get rid off as many oem parts as possible?

I will be messing with my engine bay again in the near future and among other things I will be sorting out my fuel mods. I have a SARD afpr which I'll be fitting with -6AN ss braided hoses & fittings. I also have the 255lt/h walbro fuel pump as well as a reusable racing type fuel filter. I...

    maftpro is working

:nono: Ok forget it, since I'm not very good or patient with flimsy stuff I will not take my chances :icon_conf . Bob can you forward the right wires and plugs to DrJ please :naughty:. FYI I don't have the boost control harness either.

Aaron thanks a lot man. Is this all I need then? I might as well buy this very one than drag my lazy ass to a store downtown and look for it :biglaugh:.

    maftpro is working

Aaron or Bob if you can point me out what type of connectors I'm looking for I'm sure that I can get them from a pc hardware shop locally. I did some ebay search here...

    maftpro is working

:biggrinbo YESSS, that's great news! Bob are these special wires in any way or can I get some locally? It's not like I'm in a hurry (far from it in fact as I'm about a month away of actually installing my maft pro or any other wire in the car for that matter :icon_frow) . It just seems like a...

    maftpro is working

Adam correct me if I'm wrong but I think what you just posted is the instructions for the timing monitor function not timing control that Bob posted just before.

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

Thanks for all the links and info guys. outofstep I found your sf thread and it was very informative indeed. Nice finds on the shops for the foam as well :bigthumb:. I was thinking of going for the 3M stuff that is much densier than the material used on the Z (3M 10lbs/ft - HandiFoam 2lbs/ft)...

    maftpro is working

Ok Bob a question for the intelligence challenged :aigo: :-p ; is there a specific harness and plugs for wiring the maft pro for the timing function or is it just a case of splicing/soldering some wire where you indicate?

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

I just googled "Handi foam" for the last half hour or so...It doesn't look promising, there's only very few places in the states that sell it as well as a couple in the u.k.. Main problem is that it's a flammable, highly pressurized product so shipping abroad is a NO NO :icon_conf and secondly...

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

I think I'm almost convinced on this. Right where do I get the right materials from...? :runaway:

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

My thoughts exactly Ian, plus the car will be resprayed inside out again so it's much better to do that process prior to that. No major headache on worrying if I make a mess that way :). I just want to make sure that foam injection won't result in an extra stiff chassis that would render daily...

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

RightyO sir, sometimes I forget how old you are and you go way back in the day :biglaugh: . MkIII have a much more rigid and firm body compared to the mkII. I haven't checked my mkIII donor car's mainframe but I'll take your word for it ;) . The mkII though has quite wide, beefy mainframe rails...

Urethane foam injection for increased chassis rigidity...?

Greg That was a great article, Directly related to the subject, those Sport compact guys seemed really amazed with the results. And daily driver friendly too!!! Good point, I'll keep that in mind if I decide to take that route. Ian you have to be a killjoy don't you :naughty: :icon_bigg. I...
