Sorry, I was referring to the differences between pre89, 89, and post 89. Not that he had to go about doing such a thing. It's more of a hassle to match up the stuff between the years, though not impossible.
There will be some minor wiring things you'll need to deal with. The plugs from the door, a/c, the uh... interior lights(? that wire under the oh shit handle)... that's all I can think of for right now. I myself would na-t or get a pre-89 gte motor, just for ease.
Crud, I wish I'd known after this before I completed my exhaust system. I didn't even notice that DM had a cutout available, I'll have to keep that in mind.
Somewhat related question on the door/stabilizer point, the S2 CF Doors wouldn't be a good idea on a targa? I believe the same issue was brought up when someone was getting the CF targa piece, and there was a discussion since the targa itself is part of the structure.
