Our BMW 540i has a resonator that has a branch running off of it.
*Not my pic, but you get the idea*
To make something like that in a Supra, you'd just need to make the branch in front of the rear diff, and have it come around the diff on the other side of the rear subframe.
Not much difference at all. (And this is coming from an insurance agent).
I swapped the GE for a GTE in my Supra, and my insurance didn't go up at all. My company even added an additional rider to cover the cost of the engine, should the car get totaled or stolen.
There's so much wrong with this statement, and so many wrong assumptions that I'm not even going to try to correct it all.
Bear in mind, that the application you sign to purchase your insurance is a legal binding contract between you and your insurance company. As with any contract, any...
As an insurance agent, I can confirm that as the truth. If you killed/injured someone in an accident, your insurance company could (and most likely would) wash their hands of the incident once they find out your car isn't stock. (It's called concealment, and is cause enough to void out your...
The coolant gets to the point of boiling a little bit above 3/4 of the way up the gauge.
I have the 10 blade turbo fan on the Tacoma clutch.
The tranny cooler is so big, the only place for it was between the condenser and the radiator. I have it mounted to the back side of the condenser...
^^^ Speaking of BHG, the head gasket was supposedly changed by the person I bought the engine from less then 10,000 miles ago. He used a composite gasket with ARP studs. That said, I'm not ruling out a BHG, and plan on doing a test on the cooling system to see if there's exhaust gasses present...
Background: Last summer I swapped the GE engine in my'86.5 for a GTE engine. I left the stock auto transmission in the car. I got the car running at sometime in the fall, and noticed that the car would run hotter then normal after a cruise down the road; and would start to overheat once I...
I agree.
I couldn't imagine trying to drive down the road during a thunderstorm, with the coil pack getting soaked by the rain coming through that section of the hood.
For a track car, I'm sure it's a good hood; but not for a daily driver.
Call Champion Toyota at 1-800-327-2087, and ask for Jeff Watson. I'll bet that not only can he get you the parts (if they're still being made), but on most things he can order & ship them to you for less then your local dealership would charge you for the part.
I needed a rear glass when I purchased my Supra. The local glass companies told me that all they could get were used rear windows, and once they had one shipped and installed; I'd be looking at around $450 to have one installed.
I ended up looking on Ebay, and found a seller that was selling...
As an insurance agent who works at an independent insurance agency who represents Progressive as one of our companies, I can verify that Progressive DOES offer "agreed value" insurance policies.
I'm not sure if they have different procedures in PA, but here in Michigan the first thing you need...
