this is what I referenced when I did mine, worked fine to not remove the entire rear trim. just take your time not to break any pieces.
the thing to remember is when you are pulling the upper hatch trim (directly below hatch weatherstripping) back to get to the strut bolts, don't pull DOWN...
+1, my stock suspension is definitely slacking. lots of body roll in corners, and the 4x4 stance (especially in the front) is pretty ugly.
i love my supra tho!!
i thought that if you were not going to extend the harness, and put it through the driver's side as you have, you need to mount the ECU on that side too. right?
nice little project you have.
I personally like the 89+ 3-piece wing (even tho I haven't gotten around to installing mine) over the pre 89, and over the wingless rear. but if its between pre 89 and wingless, I would say wingless.
Have you thought about 89+ tail lights??
89+ tails...
got any pics? it doesn't sound like you need THAT much, and it could be worth it if the car is in good shape. it would be a shame to scrap a good mkiii body.
btw, from what I remember, I had to use a fender washer and grind out the inner diameter a bit to put behind the new ribbed pulley, so it wouldn't rub against the timing cover.
I had a similar problem when my power steering pump went out, check out my thread from a while back:
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53804
part numbers are in there for the pulley and belt, for no a/c or p/s
i don't think you sounded like a douche, but this guy sure did:
"what you don't understand is that we know you aren't dissing anything...
BUT we ARE making fun of your MKIII."
don't take it too seriously, its kind of expected on a non-supra forum, right? the only way to settle it would be...
from the pics, it looks like the 3-piece wing was installed a little off (especially the passenger side piece), just wondering if this is why you ditched it? or do you like the wing-less look? just curious.
great project you have!
