The open wastegate sounds like ass IMO when in full boost. It's a big fuckin exhaust leak basically.

Here's a little comparison. My cousin's dodge avenger (420A neon motor, NOT the V-6 version offered) slowly crept away from a millenia that was loaded down with four people (so was ours).

No problems here. No lugging from the Geo or the 3G. If the supra can't handle 2K RPM shifts, then bump it up some, how hard is that to do? This is my acceleration on flat roads, cruising speed in fifth is 70 MPH. The gas gets eaten up in the acceleration, that's why I'm easy on it when...

have you heard a supra with a DDP before? You may want to listen to some sound clips first before you buy one, they are an aquired taste as far as sound goes, but they do make recirculated DDPs...

I've seen a few of these in person also Ian. Although I don't know how loud they are exactly at ~5K RPM, but they are crazy quiet at lower RPM's, specifically cruising RPMs.

I installed a bigger style spearco replica with 2.5" hardpipes recently, I haven't lost any spool time, and I'm making quite a bit more than what I was making before, but the hardpipes help too. My boost went up also.

ARP hardware on the bottom end, specifically for the rods. We'll see if that's what gave out on you...

I think it's a part of the alloy that the nut is made up of. You don't need this specific CSG as there are better ones out there. The best thing to do is to replace said nut as it is a weak point from the factory ;).
