I broke a 3/8 craftsman ratchet after many years of bad abuse.
a 12pt 1/2 19mm socket by kicking it half dozen times to get these bmw rims loose.
a 10mm gearwrench from adjusting too many bus calipers.
besides that all my tools can take it.

I'm a qt over fan. I agree though, thinking you can overfill and walk away with a smile is a sure fire way to damage something. but I've found no fault in having another qt in the pan.
the oil gauge is my only real bitch, mine responds quick, but when it comes to 7M and oil pressure I want to know now! the gauges tend to lag, my 92 is quick but not enough for me. older ones are sometimes worse.
I like warning if pressure is lost. *cant always eye the gauge lol*
also...
hmm, I hear ya.
you could keep the 7m harness and such and wire it to run off 7m electronics.
I would also go single from the start to avoid pounding the firewall if needed. it won't hurt nothing but still, who wants to pound on the firewall. theres a sticky on whats basically needed to swap...
why go 2j? if the 7m is good why change? your exhaust will work but meeting it at the jz downpipe might be a issue. id keep the exhaust. they sound real good.
