well i'm gonna have to borrow the wheels to see em on my car before i can give you an honest opinion.:naughty: they'll look gorgeous no doubt. where'd you find em?
if you have the money to spend on a clean Turbo, just get it. it's more work than it's worth to swap the n/a car to turbo and it'll probably come out to around the same price as the turbo car if you do it right and if you fix the body damage.
i just don't like the idea of the "row boat" factor of the stock shifter height. i wish C's made a short height, short throw shifter. i'm really only looking for a shorter throw between gears of course, but still.
JSC Speed ftw. i just bought my ssqv from them and it came on an upper hardpipe for the IC piping and whatnot.
but anyway, does the TMS downpipe route the wastegate and the exhaust flow into the DP simulataneously? wouldn't that create an assload of back pressure building up at the "elbow" area?
do you know what compressor surge sounds like? maybe that's the "choking sound" you're talkin about. cause i know with the vacuum line to my SSQV taken off, i surge a little bit even at stock boost. so like they said, check the vacuum line.
i don't know how cheap their elbows are, but usually you end up spending more on an elbow/downpipe combination than you do on a divorced downpipe with the elbow already integrated into the downpipe as one piece. i'd go for a DDP if i were you.
bought the car for $1200 this September, and i've put like $600 into it since then, with intake, bov, and maintenance. with the rs*r cat-back i'm getting for Christmas (hopefully), i'll have a total cost of around $2300 spent within 3 months including cost of the car. with a dishwashing job and...
3 inches from the turbo-back. if you want quiet performance, get a resonator (or resonated cat-back) and a removable silencer. i'm pretty sure the Blitz Nur-Spec cat-back system is resonated. the silencer will hurt performance a little because of the back pressure, but you really only need one...
well... the kind that aren't 80 bucks lol. if that's how much they usually run for then i'm down, but something cheaper would be good. is there a sticky on plugs/wires or anything? i don't wanna be asking stupid questions if i could just go read up on it. i just want to know if
a. getting...
uhhh, weak example of a Honda. i was talking about a Civic hatch or somethin. i think s2k's and NSX's and stuff like that are gorgeous and i've seen that s2k you're talkin about... amazing. it's just weird to think of a Corvette engine in a Corvette killer. the irony would make winning a race...
to stay kinda on topic, i need to do a tune up, so info on whether or not to go copper or iridium would be great. any places to find plug wires, too, cause i'm at 935 motorsports' page and MSD wires are 80 bucks... normal?
people call our cars "corvette killers" around here... LS series swap is like putting a 1JZ in a Honda. it'll be sick, but there's just somethin wrong about it.
it drives fine and idles fine. smooth throughout the powerband no matter where i'm at with the throttle. i think i should get a tune up and change the o2 sensor cause i have no idea how old these spark plugs and wires might be. same with the o2. my exhaust manifold gasket's shot too, but would...
that car and that scenery are both the main reasons i wanna move to Cali. mainly the car though, just cause i wouldn't mind seeing a few MkIV's per day rather than per year.
is it really worth it to live over there or is there "too much crime" and stuff?
