No wideband. Its just a stock 88 Turbo. I'm guessing around 6-7 psi off the stock gauge.
Intercooler pipes were put on because the stock pipes were busted.
I just installed my cxracing intercooler kit for the 7MGTE and was excited to finally feel full boost and get above 4K RPMs but as I was putting everything back together I noticed my accordian hose had a crack near the turbo! :3d_frown:
Now of course its still cutting out at high RPMs and...
I was able to get my auto crossmember to work buy offsetting the tranny mount to only use 2 of the four bolts. I only had it mounted like that for a little while until I got my W58 crossmember. It looked like it would have worked fine for a while.
This may explain the noise that i occassionaly get when i'm backing out my driveway and i'm at full lock. Its a nasty metal on metal noise. I'll have to check it out.
I liked mine when it was auto, but I now love it that its standard. But my auto was on its way out and my TC was slipping way to much. It felt way under powered as an auto. I'm guessing a perfectly running auto would be nice though.
Whats the harm in just leaving the ABS components in the car without the sensor? Thats what I currently have now after my tranny swap. Brakes work fine. I just have the Antilock light on all the time.
I wasn't going to change the force. I know that can't be changed. I just need to get used to that.
What I would like to adjust is the pedal play and/or clutch engagement to get the sweet spot right where I like it. Sorry if I didn't make sense before.
I can imagine it would definately feel a lot nicer with some performance mods. I've just been trying to get it suitable for daily driver status and fighting the Hot Rod fever!!
As much as I want a new intake, ddp, and exhaust...i'll probably upgrade suspension first.
I can adjust the...
Just finished swapping out my auto for a w58 on my 88 turbo and...WOW what a difference. My torque converter must have been stealing a lot of power before it died on me. Feels like a different car. I topped off the swap with new shifter bushings and it shifts nice and smooth. The only thing...
That looks pretty sweet. I would be interested as well. I'm guessing this location would sound a lot better than the stock location? I would like to see some pics with speakers installed.
Kinda sounds like what my Torque converter sounded like before it really started making noise. But at first it would only do it when taking off from a stop.
I'm still confused on whats different from tranny to tranny? Is it the tranny mount (has the rubber bushing) or the Tranny brace (the crossmember)?
My Tranny brace has an "A" on it. Came off my A340e. But I need one for a W58. Or will it work as long as I get the right tranny brace?
