I agree. Gold and Red go together pretty nicely! Those look like 19s. I can't decide on what style I like better. SSR or the Work VS-XX. I haven't found a good replica of the SSR that come in the right size.
Just ran across these wheels and thought they looked good. i didn't know the 006 came in gold and with only 5 holes and not the uni-bolt pattern. I think they look pretty good. What do you think?
I was thinking of getting some used wheels off RBWheels or Memoryfab. Maybe some Work...
I've felt it boost. Just not for very long. The highest its ever gone is probably like 4500 RPMs. It has gotten worse recently. Before it would boost and then feel like it falls flat. Now it just bucks and bogs down right when boost starts. Probably gotten worse because the mods i've done...
Noticed a couple things today. If I sent in traffic for a while it gets worse. As soon as boost starts, it bucks pretty bad. I have to drive like a grandma. Also noticed that it will not rev above 4000 RPMs in Nuetral.
I think what i'm going to do next is replace all the Intake manifold gaskets. Supposedly this car got its Headgasket changed and then never driven for 7 years. But every gasket I take off looks like the original gasket. I'm thinking whoever did the work just reused them.
I'm running out...
Update....finished Helicoiling the threads on the head and got everything back together! Runs a little smoother, no more exhaust ping....but it still BOGS under boost!!!!! :: angry ::
Son of a b#&@h!! Maybe I one of my intercooler pipes is loose and I got a boost leak! Still got no codes...
Anybody know where they sell 7/16 exhaust studs like the ones Drift Motion sells? I ordred a set and helicoiled my head, but I screwed up one of the studs. I need another one. I checked the local auto parts stores, but they don't have any.
Have you tried to tighten them? Its a PITA, But doable. Mine were only finger tight. Somehow managed to get a ratchet on them and tighten them down. Hadn't leaked since.
Ok. So its not a clogged cat! Installed a BIC DDP downpipe and it still bogs pretty bad. I think I may have finally found the issue! Sripped exhaust studs. I'm guess that would cause the issues I have been having. I guess I'm going to order the Driftmotion 7/16th kit. How difficult is it...
I guess if it was a "Real Wheel" it wouldn't have gotten damaged!
Sorry...just funny how some people think expensive wheels are incapable of getting damaged. I've seen much worse get fixed as well. You would be amazed.
Is it a metal on metal sound? Could be your front steering knuckle stopper. The cover on mine was worn out and would occasionaly make a popping sound. Replaced it with a new one.
+1 on any wheel will be f*&#ed hitting a brick on a road at highway speeds. Just ask my brother. He totally screwed his Piaa Super Rozzas on his 350z. One wheel was worth more than my Rota's on my 280Z.
Ok, well I changed the Bilstein's to the middle setting. It definately seemed to help. Still a little bouncy. Highest setting would probably even be better. But I got the Bilstein's for the extra drop!! But now I got a new problem. The upper mount is stripped and I couldn't get the passenger...
I don't think the problem is with the Eibachs. I think its combining them with Bilsteins and putting them on the lowest setting. I'm suprised more people haven't had this issue. I've seen a few threads. But nobody mentioned a solution.
