Comparing the injectors, the JDM 2js came with 440cc injectors (minus aristos apparently) and the USDM ones came with 550cc injectors?
Is that correct?
I am also dealing with this doing my 2jz swap. My plan is to get rid of that entire assembly completely and replace it with a oil filter relocation kit along with an inline oil thermostat that will divert oil to a cooler. I have no idea if you could use the 7m assembly, but honestly I think it...
Keep the bilsteins, you have many more options with them compared to the KYB.
If you haven't heard of bilstein then you're probably living under a rock or you've never dealt with anything in regards to suspension before.
I guess I'm a bit suprised that there are almost as many 2jzgtes as there are 1jzgtes. Also that there are hardly any 2jzge's, maybe people are doing the NA-T and considering it a "gte".
Of course it outnumbers everything else, it's the only engine that the car came with stock in this region...
In Japan it's the exact opposite, with the JZ series completely outnumbering the 7M.
There's a thread on SF about the clutch. If I remember correctly, it's had some teething issues and the first users are basically acting as testers but it seemed like most of the problems were getting fixed.
There was a dyno test done by someone running a 3" and 2.5" exhaust back to back and the 3" was better across the band. I don't have the sheet, but I remember seeing it somewhere on here or maybe on SF. I would go with the 3" as far as power is concerned.
I can't comment on sound since I've...
Yeah, I always wonder about this problem since my old supra sat for about 4 years with it being driven at most once every 6 months and it ran fine without having to do anything with the gas.
You don't have to keep the TEMS to have a comfortable car, the springs have just as much importance on that aspect as the shocks do whether or not they are TEMS compatible.
If you're changing out the suspension, the TEMS system isn't going to be doing anything anyways. It's only applicable if you get the stock TEMS shocks or the Tokico Illuminas.
I was looking at that drive shaft calculator excel spreadsheet and it looks like MMC material is better than Aluminum 6061? Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes their driveshafts out of MMC? The other option would be to get a thicker one made out of 6061.
