i have a red top. i've had my ignition left on by a tow truck driver for 3 days straight and my radio still worked fine. Keep in mind when ign is on its also powering a 1200watt amp in the rear.

i ran without one for a good 10 months. However i was always VERY aware of whether boost was about to come on part throttle. If it was i didn't let it get over a few pounds or i let off enough to drop the pressure. I'm also using an HKS Stopper.
