Nice. your's looks to have a little flake in it. i noticed you didn't paint the throttle body. i Almost think i'd have to paint mine to flow better but im not sure.
your's is a nice aftermarket piece so i wouldn't have it coated either.
I was thinking about painting the stock Intake Manifold Flat Black. i used it on my cam covers and it looks HOT.
i'm wondering if it'd look good or not. im not too sure

hahaha exactly and that was trying to get the AFR at a good number using the AEM Uego on 2J 550's. which is why i said be careful with 680's cause you'd have to try to pull like 45-50% and thats not cool.

he had a WB on his car to monitor it all the time. AF's were fine through the power ban it was the timing map being screwed up from trying to pull too much fuel
now i know why no one else did. unless you have a BALLIN ass camera that can see the hair on a fleas ass you wouldn't be able to see them in a picture.

alright i checked them out and cleaned them up
1 pair has an inch long crack on both stems
another pair has a half an inch crack on 1 stem.
and the 3rd pack is perfect on both stems
looking for clear polish now in my wife's pile of shit in the bathroom right now haha

1J ECU's SUCK!!
i'm over them things lol. im going aristo ECU and Harness just because i am sick of the 1J ecu's and they are pretty hard to find now.
some people have never had problems but mine have been nothing BUT trouble. i just had to give back a good working ecu that i was boring...
wasn't too bad man
took us a weekend to rip the twins off AND install the single minus fabbing the DP and stuff.
and we had to do a LOT of shit (ie: drill out the holes in the wastegate for it to fit, and grind off a bit of the waterneck for the manifold to fit smoothly.) so its really not...
i did..............................when it was running.
its not bad at all. very reliable. just dont have a lead foot considering it practically builds boost at idle with the small twins. gas mileage gets shitty.
but stay out of it and its actually quite nice.
you have to use the 2J fan clutch and fan on the 2J pump.
so 130$ or so for the pump assembly and then 75 bucks or more depending on the MKIV guy selling the fan
also did you do the initial setup???
and if you are on the stock ecu you better be careful. the SAFC2 messes with timing BIG time when you start decreasing fuel. buddy killer a block cause it was running too lean do to the ECU trying to play with the timing. and he was only on 550's
i have the hydro fan set up. got the ECU from DM for like 30 or 40 bucks and the radiator and fan and shroud for 130 from a member on here. and then had a high pressure line made for 50
well worth it. mine stays a little above 1/4 on the gauge. no problems yet
