Its that time of year again where I have really random bad luck with the car. At least this year I don't have to replace the chassis, first time in 3 years :naughty:.
No, this year its the rear timing cover gasket. Decided to slowly leak coolant (originally thought to be water pump gasket), now...
I've had the WNDR3700 since the first month it came out. Its main purpose was for media server capabilities. Well due to the companies mega failure of firmware, its nearly impossible. I switched over to a beta DDWRT. Its causing many people problems, so far not too many for me except I can't use...
^im sure it will perform well at higher boost. Funny bc my engine broke up right around 5300 rpm too because of a big boost leak. Tuner couldn't tune it so i just left and learned to tune myself after i figured out what the problem was.
pretty much any supporting mod you can get for the CT lol. Ie 2.5" IC, walbro, AFPR, SAFCII, 550's, lex, Full 3" exhaust etc etc. That was on a fresh engine and head too
Well to give you a base i've had 260RWHP at 7.7 PSI (due to a big boost leak) with a stock CT-26 so hopefully those numbers will jump significantly with higher boost
^well get your buddy on it or else! Cause if you don't i won't be able to do anything about it, and just be sad and disappointed like many others may or may not be lol.
like i requested months ago....video video video! :)
No crappy phone videos either :P Videos or no videos though, shoot us some numbers as soon as you know!
I used a felpro for half the cost and so far has been very reliable for about 15-20K when my original (when the engine was rebuilt anyway) actually popped out during a boost leak check.
Do yourself a favor and pull the rad. Those things are a bitch to get both out and in.
If you have trouble getting the new seal in all the way use a PVC pipe (same diameter as new seal) with end cap and drill out the end. Then you can just use the crank bolt/nut to your advantage and screw it...
Im with you on this one. Lots of names, mostly bad/curse words, other times (rare) nice names.
Right now it has a very bad name since my rear timing cover seal decided to blow........another year, another engine pull
While some suggest it will run (idle only) without it, look at the AFM plug and be sure its plugged in and functioning properly. If the connector is bad or its not connected this tends to happen in my experience. Other than that, check for codes and get back to us or don't expect too much help.
I have several cause i always make them and lose them, then when im done using the new one i made i find the old one. I think i have three lol. In fact I just found another one a few days ago and performed a leak test the night before I discovered where the coolant was REALLY coming from...
he may not have fuel cut if maybe he actually boost leak checked his system......
PS - HOPEFULLY ill be there in May. My curse has struck again, blew my rear timing cover gasket/seal......yes....the rear. Engine has to come out and pull the head....awesome. Hopefully the HKS stopper will...
that vid has GREAT potential, i don't think it was put together well though. A bit confusing. With that music and those shots you could turn it into a cool storyline between the cars. Good regardless though.
